On 5^th February 2013  The Safer Internet Day took place. The subject of the meeting was  “ Online rights and responsibilities” and had slogan “ Connect with respect”. Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world. Safer Internet Day 2013 was the tenth edition of this project. Insafe comprises 30 Safer Internet Centres, one in each of the 27 EU member states as well as in Iceland, Norway and Russia.

Dzisiaj w Brukseli John Dalli, Komisarz UE ds. zdrowia i polityki konsumenckiej, wraz z Michelem Platinim, Prezydentem UEFA, rozpoczynają kampanię informacyjną dla kibiców wybierających się na EURO 2012.W ramach kampanii została dziś uruchomiona strona internetowa „Porady konsumenckie”.

Both companies: OLT Express Regional Sp. z o.o. and OLT Express Poland Sp. z o.o. are in very bad financial conditions and stopped operating flights. The first company operated local flights and the second – charter flights. The companies informed that they lodged motions to the court for starting insolvency procedure. But we do not have any confirmation that they did so. For the consumers the most important is the court decision of starting insolvency procedure. But we are still waiting for it.

Serwis ezakupy.uokik.gov.pl powstał z inicjatywy Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów z myślą o konsumentach chcących bezpiecznie i świadomie kupować w sieci. Jego celem jest przybliżenie praw oraz obowiązków związanych transakcjami z e-sprzedawcami (również zagranicznymi). Partnerem portalu jest Europejskie Centrum Konsumenckie.

Polish consumer purchased in the French online shop shoes for her child. New pair of boots cracked after just few times of wearing. Consumer sent a complaint to the trader. Seller did not agreed with the claim of client, explaining that the shoes were wrongly used.

Na zbliżające się uroczystości kanonizacji Jana Pawła II i Jana XXIII, Europejskie Centrum Konsumenckie w Polsce (ECK Polska) wraz z centrum włoskim (ECK Włochy) przygotowało zestawienie praktycznych wskazówek dla polskich pielgrzymów mających zamiar przybyć do Rzymu.

Konsument z Norwegii zaplanował zakup auta za granicą, a dokładnie w Polsce. Za pomocą polskiego pośrednika znalazł wymarzony pojazd u polskiego dealera. Umowa została podpisana, a konsument wpłacił ponad 2 tysiące euro tytułem zaliczki. Mijał czas, a samochód wciąż nie był dostarczony do Norwegii.

The European Commission is today making public a letter which was sent recently to the CEOs of six international car rental companies which offer their services to consumers in all Member States of the European Union.
