On 18 March 2014, the Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed for the position of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection Adam Jasser, who has so far served as Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Vice-President of team programming work of government. Adam Jasser replaces the dismissed, in early February, Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkiel, who held the office since 4 June 2008.

The academic choral team, group of 12 students traveled from Barcelona through Berlin to Warsaw. At the Tegel airport in Berlin, their flight to Poland was canceled. Having spent the night in a hotel at the expense of the carrier, the group flew the next morning.

A Polish consumer purchased clothes worth over 600 euros in UK online store. Since the seller made mistake while typing her address, the package was delivered to the wrong place. Consequently, the consumer was left without money and without the ordered goods.

Nearly a quarter of respondents did not receive information they were legally entitled to receive – according to study published by European Commission on March 2 2015. Customer should be informed about car’s accident history his rights to a legal guarantee  and information on CO₂ emissions.

Europejskie Centrum Konsumenckie wspólnie z Trusted Shops (znak jakości sklepów internetowych) zapraszają na konferencję poświęconą problemom związanym ze sprzedażą na rynku cyfrowym UE, pt.: „Prawo a obsługa klienta w sklepie internetowym”.

Konsument z Rumunii zakupił  w polskim sklepie internetowym prostownicę do włosów jako prezent dla swojej dziewczyny. Po kilku dniach otrzymał produkt, ale był on niekompletny – nie zawierał ładowarki. Ponadto sprzedawca nie dołączył instrukcji urządzenia. Klient zdecydował się na odstąpienie od umowy i w ciągu 14 dni odesłał sprzęt do Polski.

Sieć Europejskich Centrów Konsumenckich (ECC-Net) przeprowadza aktualnie wspólny projekt pod hasłem “Wakacyjne rezerwacje online – czy wskazana cena jest ceną ostateczną?”. W roku 2015 ECC-Net otrzymała wiele skarg w przedmiocie zmian cenowych. Cena, którą finalnie zapłacił bądź miał zapłacić konsument za internetową rezerwację lotu, hotelu bądź samochodu była wyższa niż wstępnie wskazywana. One day a Polish consumer found in his mailbox mysterious package addressed by the Austrian trader. The consignment contained samples of cosmetics. Surprised consumer considered that this is a form of advertising, because he has never purchased such goods. His surprise was even bigger when after a few weeks received a bill for allegedly „bought” cosmetics. Initially, he ignored it but later kept coming new invoices issued for higher and higher amounts. The consumer found the situation irratonal, but the trader referred the case to the debt collection company which sent another letter to him. Ultimately, the amount of consumer debt was more than 500 PLN (around 115 EUR).
