OLT Express Poland sp. z o.o. – Notification on the Declaration of Bankruptcy

The trustee in bankruptcy of OLT Express Poland sp. z o.o. in Warsaw notifies that on the basis of District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw decision, the Commercial Court, X Commercial Division for bankruptcy and reorganization dated of 8th November 2012, issued in the case with the file number X GU 516/12 (the recent file number X GUp 116/12), was declared the bankruptcy of OLT Express Poland sp. z o.o.  with the registered office in Warsaw, comprising the liquidation of assets of the debtor. Mr Lechosław Kochański was appointed as a trustee in bankruptcy.

Commission acts to improve consumer rights for 120 million tourists

As the summer season kicks off, the European Commission is taking action to improve protection for tourists by modernising EU rules on package holidays.

The reform responds to a fundamental transformation of the travel market: Citizens are increasingly taking a more active role in tailoring their holidays to their specific requirements, notably by using the internet to combine travel arrangements rather than choosing from ready-made packages out of a brochure.

New President of the OCCP

On 18 March 2014, the Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed for the position of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection Adam Jasser, who has so far served as Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Vice-President of team programming work of government. Adam Jasser replaces the dismissed, in early February, Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkiel, who held the office since 4 June 2008.

Choristers

The academic choral team, group of 12 students traveled from Barcelona through Berlin to Warsaw. At the Tegel airport in Berlin, their flight to Poland was canceled. Having spent the night in a hotel at the expense of the carrier, the group flew the next morning.

A Polish consumer purchased clothes worth over 600 euros in UK online store. Since the seller made mistake while typing her address, the package was delivered to the wrong place. Consequently, the consumer was left without money and without the ordered goods.
