The consumer complained to the European Consumer Centres Network. The ECC Poland contacted with the Polish carrier. The airlines explained that had suspicion that one of the submitted receipts could be fake. The ECC Poland drew attention to the fact that even if the trader’s suspicion might be correct, it still did not justified the lack of compensation for other clothes lost with the suitcase. The carrier eventually verified its position and paid all the demanded sum, reduced only by the amount shown on the receipt in question. The passenger received compensation in the amount of 800 euros.
