Lithuanian consumer bought an oven online from a Polish seller in the amount of 287 euro (PLN 1 139.67). Consumer took and paid for the order on premises. The oven had a minor transport defect, which consumers knew before buying. After testing it at home, it turned out that the oven does not heat up. Consumer contacted customer service to make a complaint then brought the defective oven back to the store in Poland.
At the store, he heard that they couldn’t refund him because he had filed an online complaint. The shop continually promised a refund. After waiting a month, the consumer turned to ECC Lithuania for help.
The case was sent to ECC Poland, which contacted the store. Thanks to ECC-Net’s intervention, the consumer received a full refund!
