Offer valid until 2nd June!

Mr Marcin used a Netherlands-based booking platform to book his accommodation.

He was attracted by an offer to receive a voucher for his next reservations. The condition of receiving the voucher was to purchase the chosen service by 2nd June. On that day the consumer made a new booking on the platform. Despite meeting the conditions of the promotion, he did not receive the voucher.

The website considered that Mr Marcin had time until 2nd June, not including 2nd June in the time of the promotion.

The consumer contacted ECC Poland. Polish centre shared the case with the ECC Netherlands.

According to Polish law, if the promotion is valid until June 2 – that day is also the day of the promotion. In this case the consumer was not at fault. Thanks to the cooperation of ECC-Net, Mr Marcin received the voucher for the amount of  632 PLN (135 euro).
