The Polish consumer has booked the apartment in the Caribbean through an Irish portal that gathers short-term accommodation offers. At the booking stage the price was given in dollars, which is why the consumer paid a reservation using a USD credit card. However, a bank statement showed that the Irish company collected the payment in euros. As a result the consumer lost over PLN 600 (USD 176.45). The dissatisfied client contacted the trader, which offered her 50 USD in voucher.
The proposal did not satisfy the consumer, therefore she decided to submit the case to the ECC-Net. Thanks to the cooperation between the ECC Poland and ECC Ireland, the company has made a full refund in the amount of 600 PLN (USD 176.45).
