A consumer bought a piano from a German online shop for PLN 8,000. Acording to info on vendor’s website the shipping to Poland (also: spedition) was free for order over 900 PLN (without limit in kilograms or size).
After the purchase, the consumer was contacted by the shop demanding additional shipping costs of € 450. The consumer did not agree to this – the seller then cancelled the order and reimbursed the amount.
The consumer felt that he had been treated unfairly and turned to ECC Poland for help. In cooperation with ECC Germany, we helped the consumer to resolve the dispute with the store. Thanks to our intervention, the retailer – agreed to deliver the piano to the consumer free of charge (in accordance with its terms and conditions).
