An Austrian consumer purchased a sofa on the website of a Polish furniture company. She paid more than EUR 2 000. The sofa did not arrive within the declared time. She repeatedly asked for it and finally submitted a withdrawal form. The trader recommended contacting the payment service provider for a refund.
The consumer reached out to the ECC Austria for help, which forwarded the case to the Polish centre. The ECC Poland clarified the situation. The Polish company found a system error, as a result of which the customer’s order was not transferred for processing. The company acknowledged the customer’s claim and refunded the money.
