The consumer purchased flights from Krakow to Bourgas (Bulgaria) and back for himself, his wife and daughter. Six days before the trip, his daughter was diagnosed with Lyme disease and the whole family could not fly. The airline did not want to refund the money and rejected the complaint.
At the time of purchase of the tickets, according to the carrier’s conditions, there had been an option to cancel the flights due to illness. After the intervention of the European Consumer Centre, the passengers received a full refund for both flights – around 1000 EUR.
